MGIMS is committed to offering affordable healthcare, particularly to underprivileged rural communities, while striving for professional excellence in medical education and research.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role, based in Wardha, for a Project Research Scientist-III (Medical) for the project titled "Strategies for Enhanced Population Engagement and Health care seeking for prevention and control of Hypertension and diabetes in India" implemented at the Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences. The post will be hired purely on contractual basis. The said project is for 3 years duration. The primary responsibilities include leading the project, managing project team and engaging multiple stakeholders including the public health care delivery system, implementing study protocols, conducting data collection and analysis, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The individual will also contribute to the preparation of research papers, reports and ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.Qualifications- MBBS/BAMS/BDS with 5 years of relevant experience OR MBBS/BAMS/BDS with MPH/PhD and 3 years of relevant experience - Working knowledge of Marathi is essential - Experience of working in community based research projects - In-depth knowledge of research methodologies and report preparation skills - Strong communication, collaboration, and project management abilities - Ph.D., MD, or equivalent in a relevant medical or biomedical discipline - Experience working in a public health or rural healthcare setting is a plus - Familiarity with research ethics and regulatory requirements in the healthcare sectorThe interested candidates shall apply by 20 Nov 2025 through the following link by filling the prescribed application formant attaching their CV and statement of intentshort listed candidates will be called for written examination and/or personal discussion at Sewagram and will need to produce their original certificates of education qualification and experience.No TA/DA will be paid for this purpose.
