SAP BW5 – 8 yearsShift UK Shift timeLocation: Remote (india)5 – 8 years of total experience in data engineering or SAP BI. Strong hands-on experience with SAP BW (BW on ECC, BW on HANA / BW/4HANA). Proven experience in reverse engineering complex SAP BW pipelines process chains. Expertise in:SAP BW Data Sources & ExtractorsDTP, Transformations, ABAP routinesADSO/DSO, Info Cubes, Composite ProvidersECC table structures and delta mechanismsKnowledge on SAP ECC GL, Sales TablesFamiliarity/Development experience with simple SSIS packages. Strong SQL skills and understanding of data modelling principles. Experience analysing and modifying ABAP-based extraction/enhancement logic. Good understanding of performance optimization and data load troubleshooting.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyse and document end-to-end data flows from SAP ECC → SAP BW.Reverse engineer existing BW artifacts including:Data Sources, extractors, and delta mechanismsPSA layers / inbound tablesTransformations, DTP logic, ABAP routinesDSOs, ADSOs, Info Cubes, Composite ProvidersMap business logic embedded across ABAP routines, formulas, and InfoObjects.Modify/enhance existing ETL/ELT logic to support new business reporting needs.Implement new extractors, transformations, ADSOs, or reporting models when required.Optimize load performance, delta management, and error handling.Improve data quality, lineage visibility, and pipeline reliability.Design, build, and maintain scalable and clean data pipelines.Coordinate with ECC functional teams to modify or enhance extractors.Support production loads, monitoring, defect resolution, and root-cause analysis.Participate in code reviews and CI/CD practices when applicable.Build comprehensive technical documentation for reverse-engineered data flows.Work with reporting teams (BEx/SAC/Power BI) to ensure model alignment.Assist business analysts and functional consultants in requirement analysis.Communicate pipeline impacts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
