The role involves validating business process automation solutions built on the Appian low-code platform, ensuring high quality, performance, and reliability across releases with minimal supervision.The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience across the Appian application lifecycle and work effectively in Agile environments.Project ContextThis role supports enterprise Appian delivery initiatives by:• Ensuring quality assurance for Appian BPM and low-code solutions• Validating complex business workflows and integrations• Supporting UAT, production validation, and release sign-offs• Maintaining testing standards and QA best practicesKey ResponsibilitiesAppian Application Testing• Analyze business and functional requirements and prepare test scenarios and test cases• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and UAT testing• Validate Appian components including process models, SAIL interfaces, records, rules, reports, sites, and CDTs• Test Appian application deployments, packages, and import/export processesIntegration & API Testing• Test integrations with third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs• Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools• Validate connected systems, plug-ins, and data exchangesData & Performance Validation• Perform data validation using SQL on relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server)• Support application performance and reliability testing• Assist in defect root-cause analysisDefect & Release Management• Log, track, and manage defects using JIRA or similar tools• Ensure timely defect resolution and proper closure• Support UAT cycles, production validation, and release sign-offsCollaboration & Documentation• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies• Maintain test documentation, test reports, and quality metrics• Mentor junior QA team members and promote knowledge sharingMust-Have Skills (Mandatory)• 4+ years of experience in QA / Software Testing• Strong hands-on experience testing Appian BPM applications• Solid understanding of Appian architecture and application lifecycle• Experience testing Appian versions 21.x or later• Expertise in testing SAIL interfaces, process models, records, sites, CDTs, and reports• Strong experience in manual testing and test case design• Hands-on API testing experience (REST/SOAP)• Proficiency with SQL and relational databases• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments• Strong defect management skills using JIRA or similar toolsCore Skills• Appian BPM Testing• Manual Testing• SAIL Interfaces• Process Models & Workflows• REST / SOAP API Testing• SQL & Relational Databases• JIRA / Zephyr• Agile / ScrumGood to Have• Appian Level 1 or Level 2 Certification• Experience with test automation (Selenium, API automation, Appian testing tools)• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git)• Performance testing experience
