Project Officer – Solar Field Operations (Electrical)Location: East Nagaland (On-site, with initial onboarding in Kolkata)Sustainable Energy & Community SolutionsAbout the RoleSeeking a Project Officer (Electrical Field Operations) to support the on-ground execution of solar mini-grid projects in rural East Nagaland. This position is ideal for technically trained individuals who want to apply their electrical knowledge to real-world renewable energy projects that bring lasting change to rural communities.You’ll work closely with the Assistant Manager and site engineers to ensure successful installation, maintenance, and operation of solar PV systems while coordinating with local teams and communities for effective energy utilization.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in installation, wiring, and commissioning of solar PV systems, battery banks, and inverter units.Support maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical and control systems.Maintain operational data and meter readings using Excel/log sheets.Coordinate with local operators for system upkeep and energy management.Participate in preventive checks, safety inspections, and documentation.Facilitate basic training and awareness sessions with local communities.Technical Skills & ToolsKnowledge of DC & AC circuits, inverters, charge controllers, and grounding systems.Ability to read circuit diagrams and identify common faults.Familiarity with testing tools such as multimeters and insulation testers.Proficiency in MS Excel for daily operational tracking and reporting.EligibilityDiploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy Technology.3–5 years of hands-on experience in solar PV installation, maintenance, or similar fieldwork.Strong interest in renewable energy, with readiness to work in rural, on-site conditions.Language skills: Hindi and English required; knowledge of Nagamese or Bengali preferred.Compensation & BenefitsMonthly package: ₹20,000 – ₹30,000 (based on qualifications and experience).Shared accommodation and basic facilities at project site.Initial relocation from Kolkata arranged by Employer.Orientation and onboarding session in Kolkata prior to deployment.
