Job Title: Urban Designer / Urban PlannerExperience: 15+ YearsQualification: B.Arch and M.Arch (Urban Design) or M.Plan (Urban Planning)Location: VijayawadaLanguage Requirement: Proficiency in Telugu (Mandatory)Job Description:We are seeking an experienced Urban Designer / Urban Planner with over 7 years of professional experience in urban planning and design projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong conceptual, analytical, and visualization skills, along with a deep understanding of planning principles, urban policies, and sustainable design practices.Key Responsibilities:- Develop and manage urban design and planning projects from concept to implementation. - Prepare master plans, zonal plans, and detailed area plans aligned with local development regulations. - Coordinate with government authorities, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams for project approvals. - Conduct site analysis, land use planning, and urban infrastructure assessments. - Contribute to urban renewal, TOD (Transit-Oriented Development), and smart city initiatives. - Prepare and present reports, drawings, and planning documentation. - Ensure all design and planning outputs meet statutory and sustainability standards.Key Skills & Competencies:- Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, and other planning tools. - Strong understanding of urban design principles, development controls, and regional planning frameworks. - Excellent communication and report-writing skills in English and Telugu. - Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.Preferred Background:- Experience in urban development projects, government consultancy assignments, or Smart City projects. - Knowledge of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh urban planning policies will be an advantage.
