Site Accountant The Project Accountant manages financial aspects of projects, ensuring accuracy in cost tracking, billing, reporting, and statutory compliance. This role supports project managers and management with timely financial insights to ensure profitability and compliance with Indian regulations. Key Responsibilities Set up and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and expenditures. Track costs, revenue recognition, and profitability of projects. Prepare project financial reports (P&L, cash flow, variance analysis). Manage customer billing, collections, and vendor payments. Ensure statutory compliance in India (GST, TDS, Companies Act, labour laws). Support audits, statutory filings, and year-end reporting. Partner with project managers for financial reviews and risk management. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (/CMA Inter preferred). 5–8 years’ experience in project accounting/finance. Knowledge of Ind-AS, GST, TDS, and compliance requirements. Proficiency in ERP/project accounting systems (SAP). Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge on RA Bills processing is required. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Accuracy of reporting and compliance filings. Timeliness of billing and collections. Adherence to project budgets and statutory requirements. Support to improve project profitability.
