Automation Specialist

Instrumentation and Control Expert We are seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation and Control Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining instrumentation and control systems for various industries. The role involves designing control systems, troubleshooting instrumentation issues, and optimizing processes through automation technologies. Design, develop, and implement control systems using Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), or Remote Terminal Units (RTU) systems. Develop control strategies and algorithms for process automation, ensuring systems meet operational requirements. Select and specify instrumentation for process control systems. Create control system diagrams, including Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) and Functional Design Specifications. Oversee the installation, calibration, and commissioning of instrumentation systems. Perform routine and corrective maintenance on control systems. Implement process automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency, reliability, and safety. Integrate new technologies to improve process control, reduce downtime, and optimize system performance. Analyze existing systems and identify areas for automation improvements. Troubleshoot instrumentation and control system malfunctions. Conduct regular preventive maintenance on instruments and control systems. Coordinate with operations teams to identify and resolve system failures. Key Responsibilities Lead or support instrumentation and control-related projects. Maintain and update documentation related to system designs and instrumentation specifications. Provide detailed reports on system performance and project progress. Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and regulations. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems. Requirements Expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining instrumentation and control systems. Strong knowledge of PLC, SCADA, DCS, or RTU systems. Experience in developing control strategies and algorithms for process automation. Ability to troubleshoot instrumentation and control system malfunctions. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
