Software Asset Manager

Greetings from TCS!!!**TCS is Hiring for Software Asset Manager**Desired Experience: 6-8 YearsJob Location: Kolkata· Minimum 5+ years of Software Asset Management (SAM) experience.· Experience managing licenses from publishers like Oracle, VMware, IBM, Microsoft, Opentext, and others.· Proficiency in interpreting Product Terms and managing licensing agreements.· Ability to navigate publisher portals and interpret usage reports.· Familiarity with virtual technology terms and entitlement reports analysis.· Demonstrable experience in designing and implementing SAM Governance, Policy and lifecycle processes aligned to industry accepted standards.· Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork across global, cross-functional teams.Responsibilities:· Interpret current and past Product Terms for various publishers.· Manage licensing agreements of various publisher and overseeing renewals.· Navigate publisher portals and interpret usage reports.· Manage product licenses on-premises and in the cloud, including BYOL requirements for different cloud providers.· Analyze entitlement reports and software deployment data for detailed usage reports.· Collaborate seamlessly with a global, cross-functional team across different time zones.· Management and administration of tools like SNOW, ServiceNow etc· Create dashboards and reports with SNOW reporting tools to monitor KPIs, calculate savings, and show the ROI of software asset management programs.· Provide and troubleshoot early warnings on tool issues.· Establish and maintain accurate inventories of software assets, including licenses, entitlements, and usage statistics, in cooperation with the procurement, IT, and finance teams.· Interface with the product vendors to seek technical clarifications on Product related issues faced.· Identifies and delivers various cost optimization opportunities throughout the asset lifecycle.· Provide consulting advice on license implications for deployments in Datacenter, EUC estate and Cloud. -Experience in understanding IT Infrastructure, cyber security and network land scape and respective software knowledge is added advantage
