FreeSWITCH & FusionPBX Engineer

Job Title: FreeSWITCH & FusionPBX Engineer Experience Level: Mid-Level (3–5 years)Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated VoIP Engineer with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in managing and configuring FreeSWITCH with FusionPBX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of VoIP solutions, ensuring high availability and performance across a scalable telephony infrastructure.Key Responsibilities: * Configure, maintain, and optimize FreeSWITCH and FusionPBX environments. * Design and implement VoIP routing, dial plans, call queues, IVRs, and related call-handling logic. * Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues. * Integrate VoIP systems with external databases, CRMs, and APIs. * Troubleshoot SIP-related issues using tools such as sngrep, tcpdump, and Wireshark. * Ensure security best practices are followed, including firewall configuration, TLS, and fail2ban. * Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, network engineers, and support staff.______________ Required Qualifications: * 3–5 years of professional experience working with FreeSWITCH and FusionPBX. * Strong knowledge of SIP, RTP, and VoIP protocols. * Proficient with Linux system administration (Debian/Ubuntu preferred). * Experience in custom dial plan development and Lua scripting. * Familiarity with MySQL/PostgreSQL databases. * Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (IP, NAT, DNS, etc.). * Experience in monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, syslog, etc.). * Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail. ______________ Preferred Skills (Nice to Have): * Experience with other open-source PBX systems like Asterisk or Kamailio. * Knowledge of WebRTC and VoIP security best practices. * Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, DigitalOcean, etc.). * Basic knowledge of APIs (REST, JSON, XML). * VoIP QoS tuning and traffic analysis experience.If Intrested.
