Oracle Database Specialist The Oracle Database Specialist supports database operations including performance monitoring, query optimization, and data management. They operate in Oracle databases creating objects, investigating issues, and managing data retention. Key Responsibilities: Support ongoing efforts to optimize database performance and provide technical support for database re-platforming efforts. Review and implement data loading scripts related to Golden Gate data replication. Optimize and tune SQL queries and indexes in Oracle. Work with Oracle 12c/19c features and develop skills using PL/SQL. Perform performance tuning using SQL Trace, Explain Plan, Indexing, and Hints. Manage database objects like tablespace, users, indexes, roles, privileges, profiles, and synonyms. Monitor database performance regarding memory usage, backups, active sessions, long-running queries, tablespace configuration, and space allocations. Coordinate schema building, table creation, function development, view creation, stored procedure development, and role creation. Work with the automation team for scheduling AWA/RMJ jobs on multiple databases. Provide DBA supervision and Oracle best practices guidance for custom application development and routine database administration. Qualifications: 5+ years of logical and physical DBA experience, including experience in Oracle. Extensive working knowledge of Database Data Movement and Processing, including Golden Gate and Informatica ETL. Familiarity with JIRA workflow processes and agile methodology. Working experience with TOAD or Oracle SQL Developer. Good communication and self-motivation skills. Ability to work well in a team environment.
