Senior Data Engineer (Python | SQL Server | REST APIs) | Remote IndiaWe are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer + Developer with strong expertise in Python, SQL Server, and data pipeline development for a long-term remote assignment.This role focuses on building scalable data pipelines, transforming enterprise data, and enabling analytics and reporting solutions that drive business value.Role OverviewClient's Location: Pune, India (Remote)Start: ASAPDuration: 1 year + possibilities of extensionsKey Responsibilities• Build and maintain data pipelines using Python and REST APIs• Read, transform, and cleanse data for enterprise analytics use cases• Design and optimize SQL Server queries and data models• Automate data ingestion and reporting workflows• Develop backend services and APIs using Flask• Implement and support SSO, OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, JWT, and RBAC• Support reporting and dashboarding using Power BI• Analyze datasets to support predictive and proactive service management• Work in Agile/Scrum delivery environmentsKey Requirements• 8+ years of experience in Python and Data Engineering• Strong experience with Pandas, NumPy, SQLAlchemy, and JSON transformations• Strong experience with SQL Server and complex query optimization• Experience building REST API-based data pipelines• Experience with Flask and backend API development• Experience with OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, Azure AD / Entra ID• Strong understanding of data warehousing and enterprise data modelingNice to Have• Experience with Power BI dashboards and datasets• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)Interested?
