Job Title: Junior AccountantIndustry: Staffing / Recruitment / HR ServicesExperience: 0–2 YearsLocation: Vadodara, GujaratJob SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to support the finance team in managing daily accounting operations within a fast-paced staffing/recruitment environment. The role involves handling invoicing, payroll coordination, vendor payments, and maintaining accurate financial records.Key Responsibilities- Assist in day-to-day accounting activities including journal entries and ledger maintenance - Generate and manage client invoices based on staffing bill rates, timesheets, and contracts - Coordinate with recruitment/operations teams for timesheet validation and billing accuracy - Support payroll processing for contract employees and consultants - Track and reconcile accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) - Process vendor payments and employee reimbursements - Perform bank reconciliations and assist in month-end closing activities - Maintain accurate records of statutory compliances (GST, TDS, PF, ESI – if applicable) - Assist in preparation of financial reports, MIS, and audit documentation - Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial transactionsRequired Skills & Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce ( / preferred) - Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting - Familiarity with GST, TDS, and payroll concepts (especially in staffing industry is a plus) - Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks) - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Good communication and coordination skillsPreferred Qualifications- Internship or prior experience in staffing, recruitment, or consultancy firms - Exposure to contract staffing payroll and billing cycles - Knowledge of compliance related to contract employeesKey Competencies- Accuracy & attention to detail - Time management and ability to meet deadlines - Problem-solving mindset - Team collaboration
