Azure Infrastructure Developer / Data Engineer

Position: Azure Infrastructure Developer / Data Engineer (Contract) Location: Remote (US Eastern Timezone availability required from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM EST) Duration: 3 Months (1st April to 30th June) Start Date: Immediate Role Summary We are looking for a contract-based Azure Infrastructure Developer / Data Engineer for a short-term engagement to design and implement a Data Analysis pipeline for our analytics team. The role involves working on Azure infrastructure, building ADF pipelines, implementing ETL/ELT processes using SQL Server, and developing Python-based data transformation solutions. The candidate should be comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and delivering within tight timelines. Key Responsibilities Provision and configure Azure infrastructure (Resource Groups, Storage Accounts, Networking, Managed Identities, Key Vault). Design and implement Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration. Develop and manage ETL/ELT processes using SQL Server (on-prem/Azure SQL). Write Python scripts for data transformation, validation, and automation. Work with Databricks for advanced transformations (if required). Implement CI/CD pipelines using ARM/Bicep/Terraform and Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions. Collaborate with analytics teams for requirement gathering and solution delivery. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines and SQL performance. Document solutions and ensure proper knowledge transfer. Required Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure and services. Strong experience in building production-grade ADF pipelines. Expertise in SQL Server (T-SQL, performance tuning, data modeling). Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation. Experience with Azure security practices (Managed Identities, Key Vault, RBAC). Familiarity with CI/CD tools (ARM/Bicep/Terraform, Azure DevOps, GitHub). Excellent communication skills and ability to work in US Eastern timezone overlap. Comfortable working in short-term, delivery-focused engagements.
