We’re Hiring | FLO – ER & IR We are looking for a proactive and people-centric FLO – Employee & Industrial Relations professional to strengthen shop-floor engagement, ensure manpower availability and foster harmonious industrial relations in a manufacturing setup. Key Result Areas (KRAs) – FLO ER & IR 1. Manpower Availability, Shift Optimization & Discipline Management - Ensure optimal manpower availability through effective deployment, shift adjustments, and execution of manpower rationalization plans to improve productivity and control costs. - Monitor overtime usage and implement controls to ensure cost discipline. - Support line management in maintaining discipline and conduct, including end-to-end coordination of disciplinary cases. - Conduct structured counselling sessions for technicians to improve shop-floor behavior, attendance, and performance. - Undertake home visits and personalized interventions to address chronic absenteeism, health issues, and non-availability concerns. 2. Grievance Redressal & Employee Relations - Drive structured grievance redressal mechanisms to maintain harmonious industrial relations across SFD, EFD, School, and Hospital. - Facilitate quarterly Voice of Internal Customer (VOIC) / workmen communication meetings, ensuring timely issue resolution and transparent communication. - Act as a bridge between workmen and management to proactively identify and mitigate employee relation risks. 3. Welfare Administration & Statutory Compliance - Plan and execute comprehensive medical health check-ups for SFD and EFD workmen, ensuring full participation and updated health records. - Review critical medical reports, identify high-risk cases, and coordinate timely medical interventions. - Administer unit scholarship schemes, loans, advances, and other welfare benefits efficiently and transparently. - Ensure availability, upkeep, and compliance of all statutory and non-statutory welfare facilities. - Manage procurement and distribution of uniforms, safety gear, seasonal clothing, and related welfare materials. - Organize structured welfare initiatives such as spouse visits and employee-centric programs within the plant. 4. Organizational Effectiveness & Employee Engagement - Coordinate employee and family plant visits to strengthen trust, transparency, and organizational connect. - Enable seamless employee services to enhance motivation, engagement, and overall satisfaction. - Support implementation of education-linked schemes such as Unit Scholarship and “A World of Opportunity.” - Liaise with medical teams and hospitals to ensure timely health check-ups and documentation. 5. Rewards, Recognition & Employee Benefits - Drive periodic workmen grade change processes in coordination with functional departments. - Collect and analyze departmental feedback to ensure fair and effective implementation of reward schemes. - Coordinate Annual Best Workmen Awards, ensuring accurate nominations, documentation, and timely execution. - Support and execute employee engagement and recognition programs such as Long Service Awards and other unit-level initiatives. 6. Plant Safety & Critical Incident Management - Represent the allotted department in monthly safety meetings and emergency mock drills, ensuring closure of action points. - Respond promptly to emergencies involving accidents or medical incidents, coordinating with hospital and emergency services. - Promote and reinforce safe work practices among workmen through continuous coordination and on-ground presence.
