We are hiring Cutting Incharge (Garment Industry) Department : Cutting / Production Location : Ujjain Experience : Minimum 5 - 10 Years in Garment Cutting Department Job Summary The Cutting Incharge is responsible for managing all fabric cutting operations in the garment manufacturing unit. The role ensures accurate cutting as per production plans, optimal fabric utilization, and adherence to quality standards while leading the cutting team efficiently. Key Responsibilities Plan and execute daily cutting activities as per production schedule Supervise fabric spreading, marker making, and cutting processes Ensure maximum fabric utilization and control wastage Check fabric quality before cutting and report defects Coordinate with merchandising, production, and store departments Manage cutting machines such as straight knife, band knife, and automatic cutters Ensure proper marker planning (manual or CAD-based) Maintain cutting accuracy as per patterns and specifications Monitor and control cutting room efficiency and productivity Train and supervise cutting operators and helpers Maintain records of fabric consumption, cutting reports, and inventory Ensure safety standards and proper handling of machines Required Skills Strong knowledge of garment cutting processes and fabric types Expertise in marker planning and fabric consumption control Ability to handle cutting room machinery and tools Good leadership and team management skills Problem-solving ability for cutting and fabric-related issues Basic computer knowledge (Excel, CAD systems preferred) Qualifications Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Engineering / Fashion Technology / Garment Manufacturing / Any Graduate with relevant experience Relevant certifications in garment production or cutting technology are an advantage Preferred Experience Experience in knitted garment factories Familiarity with automated cutting systems and CAD software Key Competencies Attention to detail and accuracy Time management and planning skills Strong coordination and communication Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines he ideal candidate for this position will succeed in this role if they have both knowledge and technical depth about the company and the industry. This is essential as they will be a central person in the decision making process, working with multiple individuals across different teams when necessary.
