Role:Head – Learning & Development Industry:Financial Services Location:NCR Education Postgraduate in HR / L&D / MBA or related. Preferred certifications in L&D / coaching / facilitation preferably in BFSI industry Experience 12–16 years’ total experience, 8–10 years in L&D, preferably within BFSI, banking, financial services, insurance, Shared Services / Global Capability Centres (GCCs), Luxury & Premium Automobile Industry Proven experience in setting up or significantly scaling an L&D function and running soft‑skills plus technical/product learning for sales or client‑facing populations. learning and instructional design, strong content design across soft skills and technical topics, excellent facilitation and executive presence, strong stakeholder management Experience of working with LMS and digital learning, and data‑driven decision‑making.Role Description Job summary The Head of Learning & Development (L&D) will be responsible for building and leading the L&D function from the ground up for the organization. The role will focus primarily on developing client-facing teams by delivering world-class training interventions covering behavioural skills (grooming, executive presence, communication, client engagement), and technical/financial knowledge. The incumbent will design a comprehensive L&D strategy aligned with business growth, client experience, and revenue outcomes, ensuring all training programs meet the highest standards of quality and impact.Key responsibilities: L&D Strategy & Function Building Ø Design and implement the end-to-end L&D strategy from ground zero, aligned with business and revenue goals. Ø Set up L&D frameworks, processes, governance, budgets, and metrics for measuring training effectiveness (ROI, productivity, client outcomes). Ø Create and deliver top-notch training programs focused on client-facing excellence for Relationship Managers. Ø Drive behavioural and soft-skill excellence including grooming, executive presence, business etiquette, communication, negotiation, and relationship management. Ø Design role-specific onboarding and continuous development journeys for RMs across experience levels. Technical & Product Knowledge Enablement Ø Develop and oversee technical training on wealth management products, financial markets, regulations, compliance, and advisory best practices.Training Quality & Innovation Ø Ensure all training programs are of top-notch quality, benchmarked against leading global financial services institutions. Ø Leverage modern learning methodologies including blended learning, simulations, role plays, coaching, mobile learning applications and virtual classrooms. Ø Evaluate and integrate Learning Management Systems (LMS) to streamline digital learning experiences and track learning progress. Ø Continuously evaluate and upgrade training content based on feedback, business needs, and industry trends.
