AutoCAD Design Engineer - Plumbing & Firefighting

Job Description 1. Design & DraftingPrepare detailed design and shop drawings for: Water supply systems Drainage and sewer networks Firefighting systems (sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels) Pump rooms, plant rooms, mechanical rooms, and equipment layouts Create schematics, riser diagrams, P&IDs, isometrics, and as-built drawings. Ensure all designs comply with NFPA, IPC/UPC, and local authority codes relevant to Our project locations. 2. MEP CoordinationCoordinate drawings with architectural, structural, electrical, and HVAC teams to ensure clash-free layouts. Participate in internal and external coordination meetings as required.3. Documentation & RevisionsUpdate drawings based on comments from: Consultants site engineers Project Managers and Design Managers Maintain revision logs, document control, and proper file management as per Our standards. Ensure timely submission of drawings aligned with project schedules. 4. Quality, Compliance & SupportFollow Our QA/QC processes for design accuracy and documentation quality. Verify details such as dimensions, slopes, pipe sizing, and equipment placement to ensure technical correctness. Provide drawing support to procurement and site execution teams whenever required.Skills & Qualifications Educational RequirementsDiploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Experience2–5 years of experience in MEP AutoCAD drafting, specializing in plumbing and firefighting systems. Experience working with MEP contractors or consultancy firms (preferably in commercial and industrial projects). Technical SkillsStrong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting mandatory). Basic to intermediate knowledge of Revit MEP is an added advantage. Excellent understanding of: Plumbing systems (hot/cold water supply, drainage, venting) Fire protection systems (sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels) Industry codes: NFPA, IPC/UPC, local municipal guidelines Ability to interpret drawings, BOQs, specifications, and technical documents. Soft SkillsStrong attention to detail and drafting accuracy. Good communication and cross-team coordination skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver within deadlines.
