We move fast, prototype aggressively, and ship things that feel magical.The Role We’re looking for a Frontend Tech Lead (7+ years) to own the core editing experience. You’ll be the person who makes the editor feel alive— snappy, intuitive, and powerful. You’ll set the direction for our frontend stack, roll up your sleeves to ship code, and shape how users interact with video in entirely new ways. This isn’t just a “make buttons and dashboards” role. You’ll be pushing the limits of React, TypeScript, WASM, and real-time media APIs to handle serious video/audio workloads in the browser. You will experiment and implement with new interaction patterns (chat-driven editing, voice commands, smart suggestions) and translate them into a smooth, responsive UI.What You’ll Do Architect and build the core editing UI and rendering pipeline. Work hand-in-hand with design + AI engineers to turn conversational editing concepts into real product features. Lead by example: ship high-quality code, review PRs, and guide the frontend team as it grows. Optimize the hell out of performance— real-time playback, scrubbing, effects, WASM modules. Prototype fast, iterate often, and help decide what gets shipped. Keep the product hackable, modular, and future-proof.You’ll Thrive Here If You Have Deep chops in React + TypeScript and a track record of building complex UIs. Experience wrangling video/audio in the browser (Media APIs, WebCodecs, Web Audio, etc.). Hands-on experience with WebAssembly (Rust, C++, or similar). Strong sense for performance, AI driven UX, and creative tools. Bonus: experience in media tech / video editing products (huge plus). Startup DNA — you like moving fast, owning big chunks of the product, and wearing many hats.Nice-to-Haves WebGPU/WebGL knowledge for next-level rendering. Built or contributed to video/audio open source projects. Familiarity with real-time collaboration (CRDTs, OT, syncing).
