OpenStack Administrator Location : Remote Experience : 2 to 4 yearsWe are seeking an experiencedOpenStack Administratorto design, deploy, manage, and troubleshootOpenStack cloud infrastructureacross bare metal, virtual machines, and containerized environments. This role requires close collaboration with engineering and DevOps teams to ensurehigh availability, scalability, and performanceof R&D lab environments. The candidate should be flexible to workNorth America hourswith occasional overlap for collaboration with the India-based team. Key Responsibilities Deploy and manageOpenStack environments(manual and automated usingAnsible, Fuel, Kolla , and vendor solutions such asRed Hat OpenStack, Mirantis ). Configure and maintain OpenStack services includingNova, Neutron, Cinder, Glance, Keystone, Swift, Heat, Ceilometer . Managemulti-tenant cloud environmentswith quotas, networks, and security groups. Performupgrades across OpenStack releases(e.g., Kilo → Liberty → Mitaka). Automate infrastructure provisioning usingAnsible, Terraform, Chef . Supportbare metal provisioningand virtualization usingKVM, VMware ESXi . Provision and manage storage backends ( Ceph, Cinder volumes ) and image repositories. Ensure secure access and compliance throughRBAC and Keystone policies . Mentor and upskill team members within the engineering labs. Monitor and troubleshoot OpenStack services usingNagiosand log analysis tools. Integrate OpenStack environments withCI/CD pipelines(Jenkins, GitHub, Maven). Required Technical Skills Cloud & Virtualization Strong expertise inOpenStack(Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Glance, Keystone, Swift, Heat). Hands-on experience withVMware ESXi, KVM, Docker, Kubernetes (optional) . Familiarity withOpenShiftand basicAWS architecture knowledge (optional) . Operating Systems Proficiency withUbuntu, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, Solaris . Automation & DevOps Expertise inAnsible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform . Experience withCI/CD pipelinesusingJenkins, Git, Maven . Networking Understanding ofVLANs, routers, subnets, floating IPs . Experience withNeutron servicesandSDN integration . Storage Knowledge ofCeph, Cinder, Swift . Volume management includingsnapshots, backups, and restores . Programming & Scripting Strong scripting/programming inBash, Python, Ruby, Perl, C/C++ . Monitoring & Testing Proficiency withNagiosor equivalent monitoring tools. Strong skills inlog analysis and fault isolation .
