Job Description The Medical Administrator will oversee and coordinate the smooth functioning of hospital operations, ensuring quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and efficient use of resources. This role involves managing clinical and non-clinical teams, supporting medical staff, and implementing hospital policies, with a strong focus on patient safety, satisfaction, and organizational growth. Key Responsibilities: Operational Management Oversee day-to-day hospital operations across departments to ensure seamless service delivery. Coordinate between clinical and administrative teams for effective patient care. Ensure timely availability of doctors, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals. Regulatory & Compliance Ensure hospital operations comply with statutory regulations, accreditation standards (NABH/JCI), and safety protocols. Maintain medical records, patient data confidentiality, and legal compliance. Quality & Patient Care Monitor patient feedback and grievance redressal, ensuring high levels of satisfaction. Implement continuous improvement initiatives for patient safety and quality healthcare services. Support clinical audits and quality assurance programs. Resource Management Manage allocation of medical equipment, facilities, and staff. Coordinate with purchase and pharmacy departments for smooth supply chain and drug availability. Assist in budgeting, cost control, and resource optimization. Staff Management Supervise recruitment, induction, training, and performance evaluation of medical and support staff. Foster a culture of teamwork, ethical practice, and professional growth. Facilitate coordination of duty rosters, on-call schedules, and manpower planning. Strategic & Administrative Support Assist the management in policy formulation, SOP implementation, and hospital development plans. Prepare reports on hospital performance, clinical outcomes, and operational efficiency. Liaise with government bodies, insurance companies, and external stakeholders. Qualifications & Experience: MBBS with Hospital Administration / MD in Hospital Administration / MHA (Master of Hospital Administration) preferred. 5–10 years of experience in hospital administration or healthcare management. Knowledge of healthcare regulations, NABH/JCI standards, and medico-legal aspects. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
