Our Vision - To be the most respected and trusted healthcare provider Our Mission - To make great healthcare affordable Values - CHEERS Job Description To ensure smooth functioning of the hospital pharmacy operations by managing procurement, inventory, distribution, and regulatory compliance, while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety, cost efficiency, and service quality. Key Responsibilities Operational Management Supervise day-to-day pharmacy operations, including dispensing, billing, and stock management. Monitor drug availability, ensure no stockouts, and maintain adequate levels of essential medicines. Ensure proper storage conditions of medicines as per statutory norms. Oversee inward & outward movement of drugs, surgical items, and consumables. Procurement & Inventory Control Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely procurement of medicines and consumables. Implement cost control measures without compromising on quality. Monitor slow-moving, near-expiry, and non-moving stocks and take corrective action. Ensure periodic physical verification of stock and reconciliation. Compliance & Quality Ensure pharmacy operations comply with Drugs & Cosmetics Act, NABH / JCI standards, and hospital policies. Maintain records of narcotics, psychotropic substances, and high-value drugs as per legal requirements. Ensure prescription validation, rational drug use, and patient safety protocols. Team Management Supervise pharmacists and support staff, ensuring adherence to SOPs. Provide training, guidance, and continuous learning to pharmacy staff. Schedule duties and manage manpower requirements effectively. Financial & Reporting Assist in preparing pharmacy budgets and monitoring expenditure. Analyze sales, consumption trends, and prepare MIS reports for management. Support audits (internal, external, statutory) and ensure timely closure of NCs. Key Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations. Familiarity with NABH/JCI accreditation requirements. Good understanding of drug procurement, supply chain, and inventory management. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work cross-functionally with clinicians, nursing, and administration. Qualifications & Experience Education: B. Pharm / M. Pharm / Pharm. D Experience: 5–8 years of hospital pharmacy experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory/managerial role. Licenses: Registered Pharmacist with State Pharmacy Council.
