This remote position requires someone who can authentically translate Japanese design principles into functional, beautiful cafe interiors and exteriors. Key Responsibilities: Develop designs that reflect authentic Japanese minimalism and modern aesthetics Create detailed proposals, mood boards, and 3D renderings that showcase your creative vision Source materials, furniture, and fixtures aligned with Japanese design principles to bring your concepts to life Collaborate remotely with our team and local contractors to ensure seamless project execution Evaluate designs for cultural respect and commercial viability in the market Requirements: A strong portfolio showcasing Japanese or minimalist projects that demonstrate your expertise A deep understanding of Japanese design philosophy (wabi-sabi, ma, simplicity) and its application in interior design Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D rendering tools) to bring your ideas to reality Experience designing F&B or hospitality spaces is a plus Excellent communication and project management skills to work effectively in a remote setting
