Job Title Web Designer and DeveloperJob Type: Contract, Remote Project based, with option for ongoing monthly support after launch Role Summary We are hiring a contractor who candesign and build a modern websitethat looks premium, loads fast, and is easy for real customers to use. This role is not only about coding. You must think about user experience, visual design, and building a site that is structured properly from day one. The goal is a website that: looks high end and trustworthy is easy to navigate works perfectly on mobile and desktop turns visitors into leads (calls, quote requests, form fills) Key Responsibilities Design and User Experience Create a clean, premium design suitable for a design and build business Build a clear structure with simple navigation and strong call to action buttons Design key pages such as Home, Services, Portfolio, About, Contact Create a strong portfolio and project layout that builds trust Ensure the site feels smooth, modern, and user attentive Development Build the website using a modern platform or stack (Webflow, WordPress, Next.js, etc.) Ensure responsive build, fast loading, and clean structure Set up forms, lead capture, and spam protection Optimize images and ensure smooth performance Basic security setup and backups where possible Provide a simple editing workflow so the site can be updated easily Required Skills Strong portfolio showing both design and development work Ability to explain design decisions in simple words Experience building modern websites with strong mobile performance Strong communication and milestone based delivery Nice to Have Experience building websites for home services, renovation, interiors, or local businesses Experience creating page templates for portfolio and blog posts Ability to guide content structure for service pages Deliverables Full website designed and built (desktop + mobile) Key pages completed and functional Contact forms and lead capture working properly Portfolio and project template created Speed optimized website with good performance Handoff guide showing how to edit content and add new projects 30 day post launch support for fixes (optional) How We Evaluate Design quality and clarity Mobile experience and usability Performance and loading speed Lead conversion readiness (clear CTAs, trust signals) Communication and delivery on milestones To Apply Please share: Portfolio links (live sites preferred) Your suggested platform for this project and why Timeline and contract pricing (fixed or milestone based) What you would improve on a typical local business website to make it convert better
