Senior Medical Affairs Strategic Leader

Senior Medical Affairs Strategist Are you a seasoned medical professional looking to leverage your expertise in gastroenterology or internal medicine? Do you have a proven track record of contributing to commercial, medical, and/or clinical development strategies? This senior role will support the global medical affairs department. The responsibilities include supporting the development and execution of the annual product medical strategy. We are seeking an experienced individual with a strong scientific background and excellent communication skills to join our team. As a senior medical affairs strategist, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to plan and execute all aspects of medical strategy support. Your key responsibilities will include: Supporting the development and execution of the medical strategy for assigned products; providing overall scientific and medical oversight within assigned therapeutic areas. Assisting senior leadership with assessments and intelligence on potential new products, joint ventures, corporate partnerships, and due diligence activities. Collaborating with the commercial team to build awareness of company products in the medical community and better understand unmet medical needs by participating in medical symposia, publications, media events, and other activities. Providing clinical support for field sales efforts and medical science liaisons to help them provide the scientific and clinical information necessary to improve patient care. Responsible for supporting the review and approval of product promotional material and regulatory documents, in compliance with corporate standards and government/industry regulations, ensuring that information is scientifically accurate and medically appropriate. Supporting the review and approval of product planning and line extensions, new indications, formula changes, opinion leader development, and publication strategies for therapeutic area products. Identifying, developing, and maintaining close professional relationships with influential members/opinion leaders (physicians and researchers) within pertinent medical communities. Fostering the establishment and maintenance of external scientific advisors and assisting in advocacy development. Staying informed of current developments within pertinent medical and scientific communities through familiarity with current literature, attendance at meetings, conventions, professional associations, etc. To be considered for this role, you must possess: A working knowledge of Good Clinical Practices and Health Authorities' regulatory reporting requirements. The ability to research and critically analyze product information, clinical data, and the medical literature. Prior experience in pharmaceutical industry, preferably global, with a strong track record of contributions to commercial, medical, and/or clinical development strategies is highly desirable. Additionally, board eligibility or certification in therapeutic areas related to the position is preferred.
