Head of Foreign Languages

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Head of Foreign Languages with a specialisation in Spanish to lead our foreign language department. The ideal candidate will be passionate about language education and possess strong leadership skills to inspire both students and faculty. Responsibilities: Oversee the foreign language curriculum ensuring alignment with educational standards and best practices. Lead, mentor, and support language teachers in their professional development. Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and assessment methods. Foster a positive and collaborative environment among faculty and students. Coordinate language programs, including IGCSE and IBDP Spanish courses. Organise cultural events and activities to promote language immersion and appreciation. Collaborate with administration to manage departmental budgets and resources effectively. Monitor and evaluate student progress, making adjustments to curriculum as necessary. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish, Linguistics, Education, or a related field (Master’s Degree preferred). Minimum of 5 years of Spanish teaching experience Proven leadership experience in an educational setting. Strong understanding of IGCSE and IB curricula. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
