Role PurposeThe Assistant Manager – Finance is responsible for managing end‑to‑end finance operations including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Taxation (GST & TDS), Month‑end Closing and MIS Reporting. The role requires strong financial discipline, compliance orientation, analytical capability, and effective cross‑functional coordination to support accurate and timely financial outputs.2. Key Responsibilities2.1 Accounts Receivable (AR)Monitor customer billing, invoicing, credit notes, and collectionsConfirm contractual rates in RSmart as per approved agreements and ensure correct rates are used for billingAuthorize customer invoices on a monthly basisReview and verify debtors ageing reports periodicallyConduct monthly customer balance confirmations and reconciliationsEnsure accurate recording and reconciliation of customer accountsCoordinate with business teams for timely and correct revenue recognitionFollow up on overdue receivables and support credit control initiativesAssist auditors on AR‑related requirements during financial statement auditsPrepare and submit MIS reports for management2.2 Accounts Payable (AP)Process vendor invoices with complete supporting documentationVerify PO/contract compliance, tax applicability, and accuracy of accounting entriesManage verification, authorization, and payment processing of vendor billsEnsure timely vendor payments as per agreed termsObtain periodic vendor balance confirmationsCarry out MSME reconciliation and ensure compliance with applicable MSME guidelinesPrepare weekly Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) and bank balance reportsReview books of accounts/ledgers to ensure correct accounting treatmentSupport AP‑related internal, statutory, and tax auditsPrepare weekly and monthly MIS reports for management2.3 Fixed AssetsMaintain and update the Fixed Assets Register (FAR)Monitor capitalization, depreciation, asset tagging, and physical verificationTrack CWIP and ensure timely capitalizationEnsure compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies2.4 Taxation (GST & TDS)GSTManage GST input/output reconciliations (GSTR‑2B, 3B, 1)Ensure correct GST applicability on purchases and salesSupport filing of monthly/quarterly GST returnsLiaise with external consultants for GST audits, assessments, and noticesMaintain statutory documentation and ensure GST complianceTDSEnsure correct deduction of TDS on vendor payments as per Income Tax ActVerify applicable TDS sections, rates, and exemption certificatesEnsure timely deposit of TDS and perform monthly reconciliationsMaintain vendor PAN/TDS section mapping accuracy in systemsSupport quarterly TDS return filings (Forms 24Q, 26Q, etc.)Address vendor TDS‑related queries and resolve mismatchesReconcile TDS ledgers with Form 26AS, AIS, and vendor statements2.5 Month-End Closing & MISSupport month‑end closing activities including accruals, provisions, and ledger reviewsRecord and review journal vouchers as per accounting standardsGenerate MIS reports, dashboards, and variance analyses for managementAssist in BU‑wise financial consolidation and reporting3. Other ResponsibilitiesSupport CFO / BUFH / Senior Manager – Corporate Finance in operational and strategic tasksMaintain cordial and effective coordination across all business functionsAssist in administration and upkeep of finance department processes and documentationProvide necessary documentation and support to internal, statutory, and tax auditorsEnsure quality, safety, compliance, and data security across finance operationsTake appropriate operational decisions ensuring data integrity and compliance while on duty4. Qualifications & ExperienceEducational QualificationsCA with at least 3+ years of post‑qualification experienceORPost Graduate in Commerce with MBA (Finance) and 7+ years of relevant experienceORGraduate in Commerce with 10+ years of experience in core finance operationsRelevant ExperienceMinimum 3+ years of experience in Accounting and Reporting is mandatoryStrong exposure to AR, AP, Taxation (GST & TDS), Month‑end closing, MIS & auditsExcellent communication and presentation skillsWorking knowledge of ERP systems and strong process understandingExperience in a multi‑location, multi‑divisional environment with tight deadlinesAbility to work independently and under pressureKnowledge of commercial laws and their application in service industries; experience in aviation sector is an added advantage5.
