You will build productive partnerships with Stores, Human Resources, Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit, Assets Protection, field leadership, employee relations attorneys, paralegals and others to investigate and provide thorough, thoughtful and timely issue resolution.As a Lead Investigator you will:Investigate complex and high risk workplace and vendor misconduct allegations that pose a significant business, culture or reputational impact to Target; ensure all steps of the investigative process are completed thoroughly and timely, and that the appropriate documentation and follow through occurs on all concernsEstablish effective working relationships with HR, Compliance, Owned Brands, Employee Relations, and Law partnersDevelop investigation plans, provide strategic insight and communicate findings to senior leaders;Conduct investigations in various locations, including domestic and international offices, factories, and other third-party facilities;Prepare defensible and comprehensive investigative reports and present findings and non-legal advice or recommendations to partners at all levels in the organizationContinuously evaluate investigative processes and partner with leadership to identify opportunities for efficiency, scale and improvement; lead and participate in company and department initiatives to support timely, thorough and trustworthy investigationsAnalyze metrics and data, while recognize trends pertaining to Target culture, leadership behaviors, enterprise risks, and control gaps and establish a cadence to share insights with the broader Target Investigations Team, Compliance, Internal Audit, and other relevant partners.Consistently demonstrate behaviors aligned to Target’s values of Inclusivity, Connection, and DriveCore responsibilities of this job are described within this job description. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.About you:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Compliance, Finance, Audit, or Human Resources or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience5+ years of experience within Human Resources, Employee Relations, Legal Affairs, Internal Audit, Risk & Compliance or other relevant business functionStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate meetings, resolve conflict, build consensus, establish rapport and collaborate effectively across departments and externallyAnalytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to leverage data to influence decisions, identify risks and improvement opportunities, and distill complex issues into actionable plansEffective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to create transparency and confidence and influence across all levels of Target Team MembersAbility to adapt, prioritize and successfully manage multiple tasks or projects autonomously in response to ambiguous, changing or competing priorities, and ensuring adherence to deadlines.Ability to effectively learn and operate in corporate-wide data bases, gather and analyze information from various systems, interpret the value of that information as it relates to investigative solutions, query and analyze data to identify potential fraud and misconduct.Proven ability to conduct successful investigative interviews, while maintaining an atmosphere of respect, empathy, objectivity, and trust.Ability to apply discretion and sensitivity while working with confidential informationFluent communication and writing skills in English, Bangla, and Hindi, including ability to conduct investigative interviews and draft investigative reports in these languages.Ability to travel locally and internationally up to 25% of the time, including factory visits across South East Asia including Bangladesh, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia and other regional locations and annual travel to Target headquarters for team events.Ability to network and build trusting relationships with Target leaders, team members, external partners, and other third-partiesProficient in computer forensic tactics including computer / mobile device imaging and processing preferred.Experience in conducting global investigations in a retail environment preferred.Qualified Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or other relevant certification (CAMS, CPA, Internal Audit, Compliance) preferred.Brand Development and ManagementPromote the Global Investigation team’s focus areas and Target Corporation’s Vision, Mission and ValuesDevelop and sustain a strong Global Investigations brand throughout Target[This description is intended as a guide only.
