Enterprise IT Architect – Platforms, Integration & GovernanceRole: Enterprise IT Architect Reporting line: Director Agile Delivery & GovernanceRole PurposeThe Enterprise IT Architect defines, governs, and evolves the enterprise-wide IT architecture to support scalable, secure, and cost-effective digital platforms. The role ensures architectural consistency across business units and delivery teams while enabling innovation and agile execution.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and maintain enterprise architecture principles, standards, and target-state architectures.Own architecture governance across the organization, ensuring alignment with business strategy and platform roadmaps.Design and govern enterprise-wide standards for: Cloud and hosting platformsIntegration and API architectureData and analyticsSecurity-by-design and identity conceptsGuide solution architects and delivery teams through architecture reviews, design decisions, and lifecycle governance.Ensure architectural compliance across projects, platforms, and vendors.Drive technology standardization and rationalization to reduce complexity and technical debt.Partner with Agile Delivery to ensure architecture supports fast, predictable, and resilient delivery.Support build-vs-buy decisions, technology evaluations, and vendor architecture assessments.Contribute to risk management by identifying architectural, security, and scalability risks early.Maintain architecture documentation, roadmaps, and reference architectures in an audit-ready manner.Qualifications & ExperienceStrong experience in enterprise architecture or senior solution architecture roles within large, complex IT landscapes.Proven expertise in modern enterprise platforms (cloud, integration, APIs, ERP/CRM ecosystems).Hands-on experience with architecture governance models and standards.Strong understanding of security, scalability, and resilience in enterprise systems.Ability to influence without direct authority across distributed teams.Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts into business-relevant decisions.Value to the OrganizationReduces complexity through clear architectural direction and standards.Enables scalable, secure, and cost-efficient IT platforms.Accelerates delivery by providing architectural clarity and guardrails.Strengthens long-term sustainability of the IT landscape.
