Someone with a keen interest in optimizing system performance and troubleshooting technical issues. Strong communicator with excellent problem-solving skills. Familiarity with cloud platforms (Google Cloud, Data Centre) will be an added advantage. Experience in working in fast-paced environments, preferably in startups or tech companies.Top 3 Daily Tasks: Provide technical support to users, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues promptly and act as the go-to person for all IT-related queries. Monitor and manage server performance, ensuring system availability and reliability. Maintain system documentation and configurations, updating records regularly for compliance and operational continuity.Minimum work experience & Qualification required:Total 1-2 years of work experience in system administration or IT Support roles.Top 5 Skills you should possess: Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux) and virtualisation technologies (KVM, VMware). Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and troubleshooting skills. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt to new AI technologies. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and end-users.What would you be expected to do: As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining operating systems and software applications. Server Management:Installing, configuring, updating, and monitoring servers such as Apache, Nginx, DNS, DHCP, VPN, FTP, etc. Networking:Expertise in TCP/IP, switching/routing, subnetting, FortiGate Firewalls, Wi-Fi, VPN, load balancing, and proxy. Monitor network performance and security, addressing any issues that arise to ensure uninterrupted service. Scripting : Writing scripts in Bash, PowerShell, Python, Perl, etc. to automate tasks and boost efficiency. Monitoring:Using tools like Zabbix to monitor performance and troubleshoot issues. Virtualisation:Expertise in VMware, KVM, Docker to deploy and manage virtual machines and containers. OS Expertise:In-depth knowledge of Windows, Linux/Unix, and macOS internals for system administration. Experience withMDM (Mobile Device Management)and endpoint management tools will be considered an added advantage. Strong experience invendor management , including coordination, negotiation, and performance monitoring. Proven experience inIT Asset Management(hardware and software lifecycle management) is mandatory. Good to have knowledge ofGoogle Workspace. Experience in implementingIT automationto streamline operations, improve efficiency, and ensure smooth IT service delivery.
