Job Title : Manager - Technical Service, Cleaning Solutions Entity : Evonik India Work Location : Thane Reporting to : Head of Cleaning Solutions, Asia Pacific Without China Purpose of the Position : The person would be a part of Evonik Cleaning Solutions Applied Innovation & Technical Service team responsible for Asia Pacific w/o China region who supports the Head of Technical to implement the Cleaning Solutions Innovation growth strategy by (i) manage application development for key innovation platforms like Bio-solutions to establish product fit in APWC region (ii) initiating and executing joint customer projects (iii) developing new products by working closely with Global RD&I for APWC region (iv) manage workstreams of FTEs in application claims development for global projects running in India lab A major competency of the position is to build close relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand unmet needs, evaluate business opportunities and propose projects. The position ensures a focus on sustainability both related to chemistries & operations, in alignment with Evonik’s target. Key Responsibilities: Innovation Growth Projects: Develop new ideas using existing lab facilities & Evonik’s Cleaning Solutions portfolio for Asia Pacific w/o China region. Lead projects with commercialize new products, concepts and applications. Showcase technical advantages of Evonik’s products related to Home Care, Industrial & Institutional cleaning, Transportation Care applications Application Claim Development for Global Cleaning : Support workstream management of the global application development team incoordination with the Head of Technical APWC Customer Technical Service: Generate and manage customer projects by supporting new development and/or alternate product replacement. Support customers in resolution on technical complaints and help to establish product value proposition Benchmarking & Product Fit Development: Identify competition products vis-à-vis ingredients from Evonik and generate competitive data for various applications/industries. Market Innovation Trends: Identify market trends, survey the market potential for Cleaning Solutions and develop solutions around the unmet need Trade Shows : Active participation with cleaning solution technical expertise at exhibitions, fairs, conferences, conventions etc. Training : Provide technical training of traditional/new applications in labs for Sales & Marketing colleagues and Distributors / Customers. Coordination & Management : Active participation in global projects as team member by Webex, tele-conferences, group discussions & projects Travel: Meet domestic & international customers for technical projects in Asia Pacific w/o China region as required Reporting: Technical Reports, Lab Reports, News Letters / Posters for promoting New Products or Ideas. Education Experience Education: M. Tech or Master’s degree in Chemistry/ Chemical Engineering. Experience: Min. 10 years of experience in Application/ Technical Service lab of Home Care specialty chemicals company or FMCG Excellent understanding of Cleaning solution chemistry, especially in designing of new formulations and application formats for HI&I products with core experience & expertise in Cleaning area Additional knowledge in cleaning regulatory standards will be an added advantage Experience in Stakeholder Management, Project Management and Cost Management
