Job Description:
Kranium HR Services has been retained by GM2INC to hire a detail-oriented and experienced Mechanical Engineer based in India to support the design and coordination of US-based building projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with US engineers and project teams to deliver code-compliant, constructible designs across a range of commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities.This is a long-term position with growth potential in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary engineering firm working across time zones. Key Responsibilities· Develop mechanical system construction documents, including drawings and specifications, from schematic design to final construction documentation.· Prepare HVAC system layouts, air distribution designs, and equipment selection for commercial, retail, office buildings, and residential facilities.· Run building thermal load calculations and size HVAC equipment based on project requirements.· Perform ductwork and piping system design in compliance with U.S. codes and standards.· Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, SMACNA, and other applicable U.S. building codes.· Utilize Revit and AutoCAD for creating and modifying HVAC and mechanical system designs.· Conduct product research and document system performance, efficiency, and compliance with regulations.· Coordinate with electrical and plumbing engineers to integrate MEP system designs seamlessly.· Work closely with U.S.-based MEP design teams to support project execution.· Provide technical support in analyzing project design requirements, resolving design challenges, and making recommendations.· Participate in virtual coordination meetings with project teams to review design updates and implement changes.· Maintain updated knowledge of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and software tools. Qualifications· 5-10 years of experience in MEP system design, specifically in HVAC design and mechanical engineering.· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering· Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other engineering design software.· Strong knowledge of HVAC load calculations, ductwork design, and equipment selection.· Experience working with U.S.-based MEP design firms is highly desirable.· Familiarity with US Codes· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects efficiently.· Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines· Comfortable working in EST hours overlap (at least 3–4 hours/day)
