Process Engineer - Strip processing expertize

Educational Qualification - BE mechanical from reputed Universities. Having Diploma in Mechanical engineering along with BE ( will be a added advantage) Computer skills - Knowledge of MS office, AUTOCAD, Autodesk Inventor/3D modelling software if possible. - Knowledge of Programming language C/ C++, Structural software - Staad Pro, SAP 2000, and ANYSYS will be an added advantage. Experience - Minimum 6 to 8 years’ experience mainly in Strip processing lines.  2 to 3 years as Engineering Dept. Sr. Engineer in engineering company involved in steel and aluminum plants engineering, manufacturing, erection, start up and commissioning (especially Strip Processing Lines - SPL). It is better if the company has its own workshop.  5 to 6 years involved in Process calculations, Mechanical equipment calculations, Structural calculations, Hydraulics, piping, equipment selection, Inspection & Quality control. Out of this, min 2 to 3 years should be erection, startup & commissioning of Strip processing lines. Skills & Responsibilities - Prepare project schedules, person-hour estimates according to contractual schedule together with Project designer. - To maintain monthly project Status reports with the help of project designer. - To Monitor Completion of assigned Project in stipulated time. & to check efficiency of engineering progress, Monitor to respect the schedule. - Commercial items to be verification for availability & cost effectiveness, vendor list before including in the basic engineering or study drawings. - Prepare & Issue Technical specification of various commercial items for procurement, Technical evaluations of offers received, Prepare Technical specification for Purchase order, Drawing approval . - Basic & detailed design capabilities for dimensioning and choosing right equipment and commercial items, from local and foreign market, for each machine of SPL (i.e.: Heat exchangers, spray nozzles, gear reducers, couplings, bearings, shafts, wheels, rolls, rolls’ coverings, pumps, scrubbers, pipes, valves, fans, burners, field instrumentations, encoders, motors, etc.) on the basis of main data of each SPL. - Checking of BE drawing with respect to sizing & for completeness, incorporated overall guidelines /comments before releasing. - Provide guideline to prepare drawings for structure. Prepare & provide Load values & location, checking of assignment drawing, checking of structure calculation report submitted by Structure consultant. - Provide machine load data to develop civil foundation. - To check & approve the commercial package drawings received from Supplier. - Modelling of various equipment is using Autodesk INVENTOR and AutoCAD. - Inspection of special commercial items / packages. - Commissioning activity at site (as & when required). - Indian, Chinese, European, Japanese, US mechanical & electrical standards knowledge (Euro norms, ISO, UNI, IEC, etc.) - Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics for SPL equipment. - Knowledge of engineering documentation preparation for operating projects (i.e.: list of drawings, list of parts, data sheets/ specifications, catalogues, operating & maintenance manuals, spare parts’ lists, etc.) - Use of AutoCAD & Inventor. - Fluent English, written and spoken.
