Presented by the Alchemy team, with over 20 years of experience in education and entertainment, AAPA aims to bridge the gap in the Indian education landscape by helping passionate students build a career in performing arts from the age of 12.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Drama Teacher strictly based out of Chennai. The Drama Teacher will be responsible for teaching acting and drama, developing curriculum, and guiding students in various aspects of performing arts. The day-to-day tasks will include delivering lessons, conducting rehearsals, organising performances, creating curriculums for various institutions and attending meeting with school board members or Principals to showcase theatre curriculums, handle organisation and running of evening theatre centres. The Senior Drama Teacher will also train and collaborate with other faculty members to create a supportive and creative learning environment.QualificationsExperience and proficiency in Drama and Performing ArtsProficiency in Spoken English and Communication.Skills in Teaching Acting and Teaching in generalProficiency in Curriculum DevelopmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to inspire and motivate students of various age groupsBachelor’s degree in Performing Arts, Drama, or a related fieldPrior experience in teaching and mentoring students is a plusPassion for the performing arts and commitment towards student growth and developmentHas to be based out of Chennai
