With deep domain knowledge of the aviation ecosystem, we offer end-to-end ground handling services such as passenger and baggage handling, ramp handling, aircraft interior cleaning, load control and flight operations, and cargo handling services for general, perishable, transshipment, express courier and special cargo.JOB PURPOSESupports the implementation and execution of ISO, ISAGO, GDP, TAPA, CEIV and other standards in addition to ensuring continuous improvement in operations and support functions with consistency in processes which support the mission, vision and objectives of AISATS.QMS Asst. Manager – Interacts with the BU management and staff as well as external agencies to define, acquire, monitor, and validate AISATS Service Excellence and QMS performance.Manage the Quality department performance from an Operational aspectLead, manage and recommend feasible options to reporting manager in order to meet, maintain and deliver the targets in the service level agreement between AISATS and AISATS airline customersMaintain a set of AISATS data archives.Converts data collected through various sources in information and provide necessary statistics to AISATS managementCoach , educate AISATS Quality team to enable each individual member to perform to the best of their abilitiesPerform other duties as assigned by reporting manager or her designateParticipate and/or take charge, if necessary, AISATS activities and eventsSPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES- QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMAssistant Manager- QMS shall implement and monitor the QMS to ensure compliance of ground handling operations with the regulatory, ISAGO, ISO, TAPA, CEIV and other standards in addition to ensuring continuous improvement in operations and support functions with consistency in processes which support the mission, vision and objectives of AISATS and company requirements.Ensure quality policy, quality manual and measurable quality targets in accord to ISO 9001:2015 that is appropriate to AISATS goals is achieved and formulate a practical strategies to achieve those policies.Converts data collected during internal audits into information and provide necessary statistics to AISATS BU management for Management ReviewResponsible for every aspect of the QMS/QC function from Audit Planning, Conduct of Audits, & Implementation, Corrective Action & Closure, Monitoring & Verification, Feedback/follow up and re audit where necessaryEstablish, implement and maintain the processes needed for QMSDevelop, approve and control forms and formats within AISATSDevelop, monitor, measure and analyze QMS within the organization and make continuous improvement to suit AISATS operations. Determine criteria and methods needed to ensure that both the operation and control of these processes are effective. This includes evaluating the effectiveness of the methods used.Develop an effective system of document and record controls.Develop a system of identification and traceability of process ad records.Design a robust internal audit program to verify that the QMS conforms to planned arrangements. Insatiate follow up action on non-conformity issues.Analysis data collected on the effectiveness of the QMS and evaluate where the continuous improvement of the QMS can be made.Manage quality management team in carrying out routine activities and persuading reluctant employees with AISATS to change their way of working to incorporate quality methods.Ensure the protection of data archives and the integrity, security, confidentiality and privacy of data, information and knowledge of AISATS.Promote awareness of QMS within AISATS.Assist in conducting internal audit based on ISO 9001:2015 and other applicable regularity guidelines.Responsible for strategizing and defining the Internal Audit plan and review the implementation of the Annual Plan across the company while streamlining the Audits to minimize disruptions/ duplications on operations.Responsible for updating all the company manuals and maintaining the distributing list for BUAssist Senior Manager – QMS to implement the Quality Policy, Quality Manual and measurable Quality Targets in accordance to ISO 9001:2015 that is appropriate to AISATS goals and supports strategies devised by the senior management to achieve those policiesImplement and maintain the processes needed for seamless QMS functioning.Monitor measure and analyze the QMS within the organization and make continuous improvements to suit AISATS operations and changing environment/ policies.Initiate and implement process/ certification projects involving continual improvement and best industry standards.Ensure implementation of an effective system of document and record controls.Ensure development of a system of identification and traceability of process and records.Implement the internal audit program to verify that the QMS conforms to planned arrangements.Coordinates audit follow-up and closure activities, to see that recommendations have been implemented or otherwise resolved.Coordinates with Customer Airlines and Regulators for the station Audit.Analysis of the data collected on the effectiveness of the QMS and evaluate where the continuous improvement of the QMS can be made.Manage the Quality Management team in carrying out routine activities and persuading reluctant employees within AISATS to change their way of working to incorporate quality methods.Ensure that a Quality Control mechanism is in place such that operations functions have an active process of conducting self-audits to ensure compliance/ conformity to various standards.Overlooks the Safety Audits performed at the station and ensures that the Safety function is performing as required.Ensure the protection of data archives and the integrity, security, confidentiality and privacy of data, information and knowledge of AISATS Support Senior Management - AISATS, in ensuring smooth functioning of the Internal Audit department and document the Internal Audit monthly report for providing an update to the AISATS top level management on Internal Audit activities and challenges.Responsible for managerial review and approval of the audit report. Discusses audit results with management to ensure recommendations are understood, accepted and appropriate corrective action is proposed. Assures that appropriate auditee responses to the audit report are received.Developing programs to support the effective implementation of QMS as stated in the Quality Manual and Process Manual.Translate documented requirements into functional specifications.Responsible and accountable for overall quality, safety and security of operations.You will be responsible and accountable to make necessary operational decisions related to safety and security matters at all times whilst on duty.Perform any other functions as required by the Senior Manager/ Manager/Head - QMSEDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONSMaster’s/University Degree with 07 years of working experience of which at least 02 years in amanagerial/supervisory capacity in the Aviation IndustryCertified Internal Auditor with an in-depth knowledge of the auditing field.RELEVANT EXPERIENCEAssistant Manager- QMS should possess the following experience:Have extensive experience across all areas of operations namely Passenger Services, Fight Operations, baggage and ramp.Have demonstrated ability in negotiations as well as presentations, budget preparations and executionHave the appropriate skill set to set and manage priorities at senior management levelPERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS & BEHAVIOURSFor a successful role as Assistant Manager – QMS, he/she should have the following traits:Have management and leadership skillsGood communicator and able to relate to all levels of staffA team player and leadership at handling cross-sectional teamsComprehend and translate complex data and its relationship to trends and observationsResponsible and accountable for overall Quality, Safety and Security of operations.
