Senior Manager - Group Statutory

Purpose of the RoleThe person is responsible for preparation of Statutory Financial statements including disclosures and audit of the same by the statutory auditors. This position is for preparation of Statutory Financial Statements of TML Standalone (including JO) and other subsidiaries (including JLR overseas subsidiaries). This also includes facilitating the audit and resolving their queries on timely basis. Interacting with all plant locations, GDC and other functions of finance on need basis to ensure accounting is being done for new transactions as per disclosure required by various statutes. If no one performs the work, this will result into statutory non-compliances (Companies Act and SEBI Act) and delays in filing to be done with Stock exchange in India Maintenance of Chart of Accounts in SAP including modifications of GL MasterJob ResponsibilityPreparation of quarterly & annual financial statements (including SEBI Results) and ensuring proper consolidation is done for TML including Joint Operation. Interacting with all Plant locations, GDC teams, Internal Audit team, Business – Sales, Product line, marketing, HR, ERC, Quality, Production and other functions of finance on need basis to ensure accounting is being done for new transactions as required by various statutes. Work closely with respective Company’s controllership team to ensure proper disclosures are done in financial statements. Classification/disclosure in the financial statements considering the covenants and other legal requirements. Work with GDC R2R to understand new transactions and disclosure requirements. ICFR Compliance as per TML defined process control mechanisms Working with Subsidiaries and Joint Operations and ensuring consistency with TML and financials are fit for TML Consolidation. Ensure that all the documentation for Accounts Closing and Book Closing process for TML standalone are done as required by Indian Companies Act, Ind AS Accounting Standards, Income Tax Act, etc. Communications with the process team, including development, integration, testing and deployment of further automation and process improvements. Assist in all audits to ensure complete, timely and accurate responses to information. Preparation and Finalisation of Financial statements – Ind AS / IFRS of TML Subsidiaries (Including JLR Overseas Subs). Maintenance/Changes/Review of Chart of Accounts in SAP. Discussing and aligning statutory auditors on major accounting matters and resolution of Audit queries.Stakeholder Profiles & Nature of InteractionsInternal-Plant Finance/ GDC/Treasury / Business - Discussions on Accounting issues – changes / new transactions Secretarial / Direct Tax / Indirect Tax - Giving financial data as required for various compliances / approvals Subsidiaries/ Affiliates/ Joint Arrangements – Discussion with Subsidiaries/Affiliates/Joint Arrangements for disclosures in Financial Statements Secretarial – Quarterly Stock Exchange Compliances e.g. Results, XBRL, Advertisements etc. Annual Report of TMLExternal-Statutory Auditors - Getting the Financials Audited.
