Job Title: Product Design InstructorSchool of Design and Digital Transmedia (SDDT- Kudlu Gate Campus)Job SummaryWe are seeking a passionate and skilled Product Design Instructor to teach and mentor students in product design, prototyping, model making, and basic electrical & electronics integration. The ideal candidate will guide students in developing functional models as part of their academic learning, combining design thinking with hands-on technical skills.Key ResponsibilitiesTeach courses in Product Design, Industrial Design, and related subjectsTrain students in prototyping techniques and model makingGuide students in building functional working models for academic projectsProvide instruction in basic Electrical & Electronics relevant to product developmentDemonstrate use of tools, materials, and workshop equipment safelyMentor students through the design process — concept development, sketching, prototyping, testing, and iterationEvaluate student work and provide constructive feedbackSupport interdisciplinary learning and innovationMaintain lab/workshop resources and ensure safety standardsRequired Skills & ExpertisePrototyping methodsPhysical model makingMaterials and manufacturing basicsElectrical & Electronics fundamentalsFunctional product developmentAbility to teach hands-on practical sessionsProblem-solving and mentoring skillsGood communication and presentation skillsEducational QualificationsBachelor’s degree in any of the following:Product DesignIndustrial DesignElectrical & Electronics EngineeringBFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) — preferably with specialization in Product/Industrial Design(Master’s degree or teaching experience is a plus.)Preferred ExperiencePrior teaching/training experience in design or engineering institutionsIndustry experience in product development or prototypingExperience working with student projects or innovation labsPersonal AttributesCreative and innovative mindsetPassion for teaching and mentoringHands-on approach to learningDate: 05-03-2026Dr. D.
