Role Overview: Design ManagerThe Design Manager is responsible for leading a team of Interior Designers and Draftsmen while ensuring design excellence, adherence to Bonito’s design language, and seamless cross-functional coordination. This role blends creative leadership, client engagement, and project ownership, ensuring designs are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Project OwnershipLead and manage end-to-end design delivery across multiple projectsDefine design strategy and planning at project kick-offEnsure consistency with Bonito’s design philosophy and quality benchmarksReview and approve all design outputs before client presentationsOversee 2D drawings, 3D designs, estimates, and BOQsConduct design reviews at site and ensure execution alignmentClient ManagementParticipate in key client meetings and design presentationsGuide designers to effectively close designs with clientsHandle complex design discussions, revisions, and escalationsEnsure a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the design lifecycleTeam Leadership & DevelopmentLead, mentor, and coach Interior Designers, Draftsmen, and new joineesEvaluate team performance and provide continuous feedbackTrain and onboard new Designers and CRM/design team membersFoster collaboration, accountability, and a high-performance cultureCross-Functional CoordinationCollaborate closely with Sales, CRM, Execution, and Estimation teamsManage design timelines and ensure alignment with project schedulesProactively identify risks and resolve design or coordination issuesInnovation & Continuous ImprovementCreate and review design concepts and layoutsStay updated with market trends, materials, and best practicesDrive design innovation while maintaining feasibility and cost efficiencyIdeal Candidate ProfileExperience & EducationMinimum 8 years of relevant experience in Interior Design / ArchitectureDegree/Diploma in Interior Design or ArchitectureProficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, rendering softwareWorking knowledge of Adobe Photoshop & MS OfficeStrong understanding of construction detailing and execution feasibility
