Server Admin

We are looking for experienced Senior Server Engineer with operational and engineering background who can drive reliability and performance across the stack. As a Senior Server Engineer for the Global Server team , you will have the opportunity to tackle complex problems of scale which are unique to tech companies while using your expertise in delivery and support of critical services. This is an operational role and you will be leading a team of Windows, Storage and Backup administrators and Managers responsible for providing day-to-day administration, maintenance and support What you need to have is: • Experience in delivering new hardware and software implementation. • Server hardware experience DELL EMC, Blade, Nutanix, HPe, Lenovo servers • Proven experience in Server Administration role in a large physical and virtual environment required. • Proven experience in SAN administration, Dell EMC Powerstore (preferred), Nimble, NetApps, or any other enterprise grade level storage • Proven Experience operating within a large complex server and application environment with greater than 600 servers • Proven experience in designing and managing enterprise scale Virtualisation (VMware and Hyper-V) • Proven experience in designing, implementing, managing and troubleshooting large Active Directory in large enterprise environment • Working knowledge Enterprise Backup Platforms, Veeam, Rubrik, Zerto • Windows failover clustering • Powershell scripting • Proven experience with Windows PKI • Good understanding of TCP/IP Networking, DNS, DHCP configuration and troubleshooting • Engage with stakeholders in relation to the design, deployment and administration of enterprise infrastructure solutions. • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently • Ability to work to deliver projects in timely manner • Good personal management, taking ownership and be able to work unsupervised. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to write technical documentation • MCITP and Bachelor’s Engineer Degree in Computer Science or IT or equivalent Good to have: Experience working with Brocade switches management and troubleshooting Automation skills ansible puppet, Python Compliance activity which includes PCI, SOX, SOC, HIPPA. Responsibilities: • Management, and administration of VMWARE & Hyper-V & Nutanix AHV hypervisors. • Management, and administration storage, • Ensure back-up and recovery procedures are followed • Provide comprehensive Level- 3 support in managing critical servers, services in a Wintel environment • Expected to work in a global team environment and ensure processes & procedures are implemented and followed. • Provision, Maintain operating systems for all Windows servers and clusters. • Participates in BCP / DR drills. • Perform capacity planning and performance tuning to prevent issues and minimize service disruptions. • Compile and maintain daily, weekly, monthly yearly processes and procedures. • Ability to be self-directed, able to focus on personal assignments while remaining part of a larger team with proven ability to multi-task. • Work on Project activities which include installation and configuration of new applications, servers and migration activities.
