Security Officer

Position: Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO)Location: Surat/HaziraReports To: Head of SecurityKey Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and maintain the Port Facility Security Plan (PFSP) in line with ISPS Code requirements.Conduct risk assessments and oversee day-to-day security operations, including access control, surveillance, and patrolling.Ensure compliance with national and international maritime security regulations.Conduct regular security training and drills for staff and respond promptly to incidents or emergencies.Liaise with government agencies, port authorities, and emergency services.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in security management, Maritime Studies, or related field preferred.Minimum 5 years of experience in port or industrial security, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/security officer role.Certified training in ISPS Code, Security Management, and Emergency Response.As per the attached Government of India Gazette, qualifications must comply with official PFSO eligibility criteria.Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of maritime security regulations and ISPS Code.Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in security technology, CCTV, and access control systems.Ability to remain calm and effective during high-pressure situations.Ex Naval Officer ( 4-5 years Exp )
