Position SummaryThe Child Psychologist provides psychological assessment, counseling, and intervention services for children and adolescents, often in collaboration with families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams. The role may include clinical service delivery, teaching, research, and supervision of students or trainees, depending on the university’s mission.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical & Professional ServicesProvide psychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for children and adolescents using evidence-based practicesConduct individual, group, and family therapyDevelop and implement intervention and treatment plansMaintain accurate clinical records in accordance with ethical and legal standardsConsult with parents, caregivers, educators, and healthcare professionalsProvide crisis intervention and referrals when necessaryService & CollaborationParticipate in departmental, university, and professional service activitiesContribute to outreach programs, workshops, or community engagement initiativesCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams across the universityRequired QualificationsDoctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology with specialization in Child or Clinical PsychologyLicensed or license-eligible as a Psychologist in the relevant jurisdictionFormal training and experience in child and adolescent assessment and therapyStrong knowledge of ethical, legal, and professional standardsPreferred QualificationsExperience in a university or academic medical settingTeaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate levelActive research agenda and publication recordExperience supervising students or traineesSkills & CompetenciesStrong clinical and diagnostic skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesCultural competence and sensitivity to diverse populationsAbility to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary environmentsStrong organizational and documentation skills
