Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance OperationsPlan, organize, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for campus buildings and facilitiesEnsure timely repair of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and structural systemsDevelop and implement maintenance schedules and proceduresStaff SupervisionSupervise maintenance staff, technicians, and contractorsAssign tasks, monitor performance, and provide training and guidanceEnsure staff comply with safety and operational standardsSafety and ComplianceEnsure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulationsConduct regular inspections to identify hazards and maintenance needsRespond to emergency maintenance issues (power failures, water leaks, etc.)Budget and ResourcesAssist in preparing and managing the maintenance budgetMonitor inventory of tools, equipment, and spare partsApprove maintenance-related purchases within authorized limitsCoordination and CommunicationCoordinate maintenance activities with academic departments and residential servicesLiaise with external vendors, contractors, and service providersRespond to maintenance requests and complaints in a timely mannerReporting and DocumentationMaintain records of maintenance work, inspections, and equipment servicingPrepare reports on maintenance activities and facility conditionsRecommend upgrades, renovations, or system replacements when needed
