It has a successful track record in project execution across key markets such as India, Middle East, Europe, South-East Asia, America and also some challenging geographies of Africa and Papua New Guinea.To augment our Engineering & Designing team in view of our proposed expansion and Globalization plans, we are looking for qualified and experienced professionals/"Designation : Design Engineer - Firefighting Equipment/" Roles & Responsibilities :Design and engineer industrial fire protection systems for facilities such as refineries, petrochemical plants, power plants, steel plants, and other process industriesDevelop fire protection systems including: Fire water storage tanks, Fire water pumping systems, Hydrant systems, Monitor systems, Deluge systems, Sprinkler systems, Foam systems, Water spray systems, Water mist systems, Gas suppression systemsPerform system design calculations and equipment sizingPrepare and verify technical calculations of Fire water demand calculation, Fire pump capacity and head calculation, Firewater network hydraulic calculation, Foam concentrate demand calculation, Pressure drop calculations, Deluge system flow calculationsHydraulic analysis may be performed using PIPENET, AFT Fathom, HydraCalcPerform technical evaluation and selection of firefighting equipment such as Fire water pumps, Foam systems, Sprinkler heads, Deluge valves, Fire hydrants Monitors, Fire detection equipment, ensure equipment meets UL/FM approvals and project specificationsEnsure design complies with relevant international standards including:National Fire Protection Association standards (NFPA), American Petroleum Institute standards, Factory Mutual Global guidelines, International Organization for Standardization standards, IS codes and local regulatory requirementsCommon NFPA codes used such as NFPA 11 – Foam Systems, NFPA 13 – Sprinkler Systems, NFPA 15 – Water Spray Systems, NFPA 20 – Fire Pumps, NFPA 24 – Fire Water Mains, NFPA 30 – Flammable LiquidsEducation : B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering or Fire Protection EngineeringAdditional Requirement :Exposure to industries such as: Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power plants, Metals & Minerals, Chemical plants will be an added advantageSoftware Skills Required:Engineering software: AutoCAD, Plant 3D, PDMS / E3D, SmartPlant, Hydraulic software: PIPENET, AFT Fathom, HydraCalcExperience:5-10 years major experience in the related field.Experience on international assignment for Gulf countries and USA countries will be preferredMust have sound fundamental knowledge in NFPA, Indian Standard and experience in fire fighting and safety system for Pellet plant, DRI/HBI Plant, Lime plant, port and other industrial sector.Candidate must indicate /"Fire Protection Design Engineer/" in their e-mail subject lineInterested aspirants can share their resume to
