Deputy Manager – Legal

About the Role We are seeking an experienced and strategic Deputy Manager - Legal to lead and strengthen our legal and compliance functions. This role will act as a trusted legal advisor to senior leadership, manage complex legal matters, and support business objectives through proactive legal guidance and effective risk mitigation. You will also play a key role in building robust legal processes and driving compliance across the organisation.What You Will Do Act as a strategic legal partner to senior leadership and internal stakeholders Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, regulatory, and operational matters Identify legal risks and implement effective mitigation strategies Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts and legal documentation Develop and maintain standard legal templates and best practices Ensure organizational compliance with applicable laws and regulations Monitor regulatory changes and support compliance readiness Oversee dispute resolution and coordinate with external legal counsel Support corporate governance, policies, and internal controls Mentor junior team members and improve legal processes and practicesWhat We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); LLM or equivalent is a plus 6-8+ years of experience in corporate legal, compliance, or related roles Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, and regulatory law Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership abilities Business-oriented mindset with strong attention to detailNice to Have Experience in FinTech/other regulated industries/E-Commerce Exposure to corporate governance, risk, or compliance frameworks Experience working with regulators or external legal counsels or law firms.Why Join Us Opportunity to lead and influence legal strategy in a growing organization Work closely with senior leadership on key business decisions Scope for meaningful impact and career growth within the legal function
