AI Engineer Intern

We’re starting with the finance team because it’s one of the highest-leverage and most failure-intolerant operational domains.We’re looking for cracked systems engineers who can build reliable software in the real world: messy inputs, edge cases, integrations, auditability, and safety.Role Summary:You’ll work directly with the founders to ship production-grade agentic systems: designing workflows, building full-stack product surfaces, and engineering the guardrails that make autonomy trustworthy.Responsibilities:Build and ship features across frontend, backend, and data (end-to-end ownership)Design and implement reliable agent workflows (tool use, state, retries, failure handling)Create clear observability: logs, traces, audit trails, and evaluation harnessesWork on integrations and automation pipelines (APIs, webhooks, queues where needed)Write clean, maintainable code and concise documentationDemo progress regularly and iterate quickly based on feedbackWhat we are looking for:Strong fundamentals in software engineering and systems thinkingFull-stack comfort (typical: React/Next.js + Python/Node + SQL/Postgres)Hands-on experience building with LLMs / agents (structured outputs, tool calling, eval)Ownership mindset: you move from ambiguity → plan → shipped outputClear communication and ability to defend technical decisionsNice to have:Experience with workflow automation, distributed systems, or event-driven architecturesFamiliarity with finance ops / compliance concepts (helpful, not required)Experience shipping products used by real users (even small scale)Hiring process:We hire via a short case competition:“AI Accounts Payable Employee - Hiring Challenge”Round 1: Design submission + codeRound 2: Live review + authorship verification + technical discussionTop performers are fast-tracked to internship offers (and may receive immediate paid project offers).Link:
