Job Description:

Role OverviewWe are seeking an accomplished Project Manager – Solar with extensive experience in leading and managing MW-scale solar power projects (Utility / C&I / EPC). The role demands complete ownership of project planning, execution, and delivery while ensuring adherence to safety, quality, budget, and timelines. The individual will play a critical role in managing stakeholders, cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors to deliver projects successfully and strengthen our renewable energy portfolio .Key Responsibilities1. Project Planning & Strategy Define and execute detailed project execution plans aligned with organizational objectives. Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies. Establish KPIs and project monitoring mechanisms.2. Project Execution & Monitoring Oversee end-to-end execution of solar projects from initiation to commissioning. Ensure strict adherence to scope, cost, and timelines. Monitor daily site progress, coordinate with site engineers and contractors. Implement corrective actions in case of deviations or delays.3. Engineering & Technical Oversight Review and validate engineering designs, layouts, and technical specifications. Ensure compliance with electrical, civil, and mechanical design standards. Provide technical guidance to engineering and site teams. Ensure smooth integration of solar systems with grid / BESS4. Stakeholder & Team Management Lead project teams, providing guidance, motivation, and performance management. Coordinate with clients, consultants, government bodies, and internal stakeholders. Manage contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of services and materials. Act as the key point of contact for all project-related communication.5. Quality, Safety & Compliance Ensure adherence to safety protocols and EHS standards at site. Conduct quality audits and inspections at various stages of the project. Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Implement ISO and industry best practices in project execution.6. Project Closure & Handover Supervise testing, commissioning, and performance trials. Ensure proper documentation, certifications, and statutory approvals. Prepare detailed project closure reports and lessons-learned documentation.Required Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Energy or equivalent. (Master’s preferred). 12+ years of experience in managing large-scale Solar EPC / Utility / C&I projects. Proven track record of handling MW-scale solar projects. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, project execution methodologies, and renewable energy regulations. Experience in contract management, procurement, and vendor management.Key Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent client and stakeholder management abilities. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work under pressure and deliver within strict timelines.
