MID TO SENIOR - CONTRACT LEVEL & GAME DESIGNER : REMOTEAt Giant Spell, We believe in creating memorable experiences for our players. Worlds that they would love to stay in for as long as possible.Overview : We are building a stylized , vibrant and fantastical world and we need someone who can handle both the level design and game design side of things. You'll build the worlds and also design the levels and what goes in them like Player interactions, NPC Bosses , items , Combat encounters , UI elements , etc.Experience needed : Mid to Senior (3+ years of Work Experience Minimum)We're looking for someone who is :- Passionate about building worlds full of fantasy , driven by unique story telling elements.- Possess a strong understanding of travel systems and mechanics and level design best practices.- Create Level Blockout / Greyboxing for Previsualisation. - Heavy focus on Player Navigation , Modular Level Design & Architectural Composition- Comfortable in Unity game engine.- Deliver well documented design materials and provide comprehensive requirements to the development teams. Outstanding documentation, information organization, and cross-referencing skills.- Craft engaging, readable, and navigable level layouts, ensuring strong pacing, encounter design, player flow, and visual composition.- Live and breathe player oriented game design being able to discuss and execute designs with ease.- Passion to create memorable and engaging player encounters.- Collaborate with engineers, artists, animators, and audio designers to create an experience that players do not forget.- Advocate for the player experience, ensuring every interaction is fun, surprising, and memorable.Bonus Points :Basic Camera Animation skills for Previz of LevelsEnvironment LayoutsIf this sounds like an exciting opportunity for you , please apply!
