Video Editor

Role Overview: We're seeking a Video Editor with 2+ years of experience who can handle editing-heavy, story-driven video projects and is also comfortable working with AI-generated videos, photos, and visual elements. This role goes beyond cutting clips. It requires editorial judgment, pacing, storytelling, and the ability to integrate AI-generated content seamlessly into real footage and motion graphics. Scope of the Role - Video editing (long form and short social media format) is the primary responsibility - Motion graphics and visuals are integrated into edits - AI is used to generate videos, images, and enhancement assets, where necessary - Editors are expected to think like storytellers, not operators Key Responsibilities - Edit long-form and short-form videos with strong narrative flow - Integrate motion graphics, visual effects, and AI-generated assets into edits - Generate video clips, B-roll, and visual elements using generative AI tools - Refine AI-generated videos to match pacing, tone, and quality standards - Collaborate with motion designers and graphic designers - Maintain consistency in storytelling, rhythm, and visual quality - Kindly note: Having a personal laptop is essential for this role. Alternatively, candidates may choose to rent one. Required Skills & Qualifications ✓ 2+ years of professional experience in video editing ✓ Strong command of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro (or equivalent) ✓ Strong Understanding Of - Storytelling and pacing - Rhythm and transitions - Visual continuity - Strong editorial judgment and visual taste - Story-driven edits - Clean integration of motion or AI-generated visuals Traditional + AI Workflow Expectations - Ability to edit traditionally using manual cuts, timing, and pacing - Ability to generate videos, images, and supporting visuals using AI tools - Ability to refine AI-generated footage into polished, editorial-quality edits Preferred Skills - Familiarity with After Effects for basic motion integration - Experience working on educational or editorial video content Education Graduate / Postgraduate / Any discipline (Relevant experience and portfolio quality will be prioritised over formal education) This Role Is NOT For ✗ Editors who only do basic cuts ✗ Candidates who rely entirely on AI without editorial judgment ✗ Pure social clip editors without storytelling depth
