Job Title: Assistant Professor – Yogananda School of Spirituality and Happiness Eligibility: a. MA/MSc in Yoga from a recognized university b. PhD in Yoga from a recognized university c. Skilled in performing Ṣatakarma, Advance Yogāsanas and Prāṇāyāma Desirable: a. BA/BSc/BNYS/PG Diploma in Yoga or equivalent b. YCB Certification minimum up-to Level 3 c. Yoga training experience of 2 Years d. Yoga teaching and learning ability in English e. Fluency in English communication f. Skilled in arranging online Yoga practical classes g. Skilled in conducting workshops & Seminars. h. Skilled in designing & development of teaching & learning materials. i. Skilled in reading and understanding of Sanskrit verses. Roles & Responsibilities: a. Academic Responsibilities- To deliver theory and practical classes on Yoga Philosophy, Ṣatakarma, Yogāsanas, Prāṇāyāma, Meditation and therapeutic applications.- To design and update course content for undergraduate and postgraduate yoga programs. To conduct examinations, practical demonstrations, and continuous assessments of students’ progress.- To supervise student for projects, dissertations, and to encourage research in yoga and allied fields.- Research Publication in high impact Scopus Journal.b. Practical & Training Responsibilities- To conduct daily practical classes, demonstrating correct postures, breathing techniques, meditation and other yogic practices. To ensure safety of students during yoga practice, correcting postures and preventing injuries.- To organize yoga camps, wellness retreats, and workshops for students and the community. To Guide students in applying yoga for stress management, lifestyle disorders, and sustainable holistic health. c. Outreach & Institutional Responsibilities To mentor the students, promote Yoga awareness through seminars, public lectures. Coordinate yoga-related events such as International Yoga Day celebrations, conferences. To contribute departmental growth by participating in committees, accreditation processes, and academic plannings.Position 2: Assistant Professor (Human Consciousness) Eligibility: a. MA/MSc in Yoga from a recognized university b. PhD in Yoga (specialization in Consciousness/ Yogopnishads/ Psychology/ Meditation & Mindfulness/ Happiness) from a recognized university c. Skilled in performing Ṣatakarma, Yogāsanas and Prāṇāyāma Desirable: a. BA/BSc in Yoga/BNYS/PG Diploma or equivalent b. Yoga teaching experience of 2 Years c. Yoga teaching and learning ability in English d. Fluency in English communication e. Skilled in arranging online classes f. Skilled in conducting workshops & Seminars g. Skilled in designing & development of teaching & learning materials. h. Skilled in reading and understanding of Sanskrit versesRoles & Responsibilities: a. MA/MSc in Yoga b. UGC NET Qualified for Assistant Professor c. Diploma/ Certificate in Yogāsana Sports Coaching from National Institute of Sports (NIS) or any recognised University. d. Certified Yogāsana Judge/Coach from National Sports Federation (NSF)Desirable: a. PhD in Yoga from a recognized university b. Experience of 2 Years in relevant area c. Skilled in conducting Yogāsana Competitions d. Yoga teaching and learning ability in English e. Fluency in English communication f. Skilled in arranging online Yoga practical classes g. Skilled in designing & development of teaching h. Skilled in conducting workshops & SeminarsRoles & Responsibilities: a. Academic Responsibilities - To deliver lectures and practical sessions on Yoga Teaching Methodology, Yogāsana techniques, sports coaching principles, exercise physiology, basic anatomy & physiology, biomechanics, and Yogic fundamentals. - Develop and update syllabi for Yogāsana sports, coaching programs, blending traditional yoga with modern coaching methodologies. - Conduct Yoga practical demonstrations, Yoga competitions, and exams to evaluate student performance and coaching skills. - Guide student research projects in Yogāsana sports and publish scholarly work in yoga, sports science, and coaching education. b. Practical Coaching Responsibilities - Train students and athletes in competitive Yogāsana, focusing on posture alignment, strength, flexibility, and balance. - Act as a mentor and coach for students preparing for Yogāsana sports competitions at university, national, or international levels. - Apply sports science principles to improve endurance, recovery, and injury prevention in Yogāsana athletes. - Organize Yogāsana coaching camps, demonstrations, and inter-collegiate sports events.c. Outreach & Institutional Responsibilities - Promote Yogāsana sports through seminars, awareness programs, and collaborations with sports federations. - Coordinate Yogāsana championships, International Yoga Day events, and sports festivals. - Contribute to departmental growth, accreditation processes, and policy-making in Yogāsana sports education.
