It aims to bring about transformation of the society through value-based education, man-making and nation-building by blending together the dual identities of a technology and research-based university with a liberal arts institution.Established by the Apeejay Stya Education Foundation in the state of Haryana [under Act No. 10 of the Haryana Private Universities (Amendment) Act 2010], the ASU provides students not only 'education for living and livelihood' but also 'education for life' and empower learners with a fundamental foundation in leadership and professional skills to face the challenges of the new liberalized global economy.Job Responsibilities :- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Visual Arts (Painting, Sculpture, Applied Arts, Digital/Contemporary Art Practices, Art History, etc.). - Supervise student projects, dissertations, and research work. - Develop curriculum and course content aligned with industry practices and emerging trends in art and design. - Engage in academic research, exhibitions, publications, and creative practices in the field of Visual Arts. - Mentor and guide students in their academic, creative, and professional pursuits. - Participate in departmental and university-level committees, workshops, seminars, and exhibitions. - Build collaborations with industry, galleries, art institutions, and cultural bodies. - Contribute to the university’s vision of excellence in research, innovation, and holistic education.Job Knowledge (Prerequisites)- Strong knowledge in contemporary and traditional art practices. - Proficiency in integrating technology, digital tools, and interdisciplinary approaches in art education. - Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills. - Ability to engage in collaborative research and creative projects. - Passion for experiential learning and student-centered pedagogy.Education- Master’s Degree in Visual Arts/Fine Arts or equivalent with minimum 55% marks (or equivalent grade). - Ph.D. in Visual Arts or relevant discipline is mandatory.Experience:- Minimum 8 years of teaching/research/industry experience at university/college level, with evidence of published research/artistic work.
