Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager / Head of HR to lead and manage Labor and Employee Relations initiatives across India operations. This role reports to the Head of Human Resources and requires strong expertise in labor laws, union management, dispute resolution, and workforce engagement. The role demands the highest standards of confidentiality, compliance, and ethical conduct.Job Responsabilites: 1. Labour Laws and Compliance: Must be well versed with Labour Laws and its compliance. Maintain excellent liaison with concerned offices & authorities. Build strong compliance culture with sound documentation to fulfil internal & external audits requirements 2. Employee Engagement, Morale and culture building Drive interventions for effective employee engagement and trust building. Institute right performance culture by addressing matter related discipline, absenteeism etc at bud stage Leverage monetary /non monetary rewards framework for employee engagement and recognition Develop and implement Labor and Employee Relations training programs Provide guidance to managers, supervisors, and employees regarding laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and practices related to Labor and Employee Relations matters Maturity inculcation through coaching and mentoring front line leaders for managing shopfloor discipline. Annual get to gather and local celebrations for cultural engagements 3. Employee relation & Union Management: Create & sustain formal & informal channels of communication for prompt redressal of employee grievances Nurture works committee, educating them on their roles and responsibility Build sound network , seek information and remain knowledgeable on industrial developments and new agreement trends in comparable industries Interpret and administer union settlement agreements, Company policies and procedures, and labor and employment laws and regulations Have good understanding of Union Charter costing, Negotiation and Wage agreement to balance business needs and employee aspirations Resolve internal conflict through negotiations and mediation techniques Support for matters under conciliation & court 4. Budgets and cost controls Develop budget recommendations and prepare budget requests with a written narrative to formulate and justify financial increases for renewal of contracts with unions 5. Manpower availability and productivity Collaborate closely with Operation team to track Manpower productivity parameters that support business objectives Ensure labour cost and related matrices are accomplished as per Business plan Contract labour management & blue collor hiring to ensure manpower availability as per business plan No production loss on account of manpower issues Strategic Support: Support plant leadership with strategic HR initiatives. Represent HR function for all Customer & Govt audits Rollout of global Initiatives in timely manner Training and Development: Develop and implement training and development programs for the workforce. Work on organizational development and workforce planning.Required Experience and Qualifications: Post Graduate Degree /Diploma in Human Resource management or Labour Relationship ( MSW, MLW, MBA-HR ) Minimum of 15-18 years of experience working with unions, leading negotiations and signing union settlement agreements Experience on Labor and Employee Relations matters Ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels of the organization with strong skills in coaching leaders/managers, team development, and building relationships Knowledge of Human Resources concepts and related regulatory requirements Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
